website optimisation & user journey enhancement

Rebel Patch

The situation

Rebel Patch is an independent artist-designed patch brand made sustainably in Bristol, bold, creative and with a growing community behind it. The business had evolved significantly, with in-person reworking workshops now running alongside the product offer. The existing homepage didn't reflect that growth. The two sides of the brand: shop and workshop, weren't equally visible, and the overall experience felt more passive than the brand's personality warranted.

What we’ve worked on

The new homepage leads with energy. Two clear calls to action, shop patches and book workshops, sit at the top of the page from the first scroll, so no visitor has to guess what Rebel Patch offers or where to go next.

The standout feature is an interactive patch section that puts the product front and centre in a way that feels true to the brand: visitors click directly on a patch to find out more, rather than being directed through a standard grid. It's a small interaction that makes the experience feel considered and alive, and keeps people on the page longer.

The workshop side of the business now has proper real estate. An integrated events calendar makes upcoming in-person sessions immediately visible and bookable, bringing a previously buried offering into the main user journey. A scrolling press ticker reinforces the brand's credibility, BBC and Slanted among the features, without interrupting the flow.

Throughout, the redesign is built around giving the user a sense of control. Every section invites interaction rather than passive scrolling, which fits a brand whose whole ethos is about getting hands-on with your clothes.

Another feature we’ve incorporated has been a previous collections section and relevant pages, to highlight what has been done in the past, the stories behind those collections and the artists that designed them, bringing the entire thing full circle.

The result

A homepage and other new pages, that finally matches the ambition and personality of the brand, one that works for both long-time patch collectors and someone discovering Rebel Patch for the first time, and that makes it just as easy to book a workshop as it is to shop a collection.
